Steamed Bafuris
Steps
- 1
Soak the Chana Dal in water for 4-5 hours.
Drain the water from the daal and grind it in a grinder to make a fine paste. Remove it in a bowl. To this add green chilli paste, ginger garlic paste, chopped onion, grated coconut, coriander, dill leaves, fruit salt, ajwain, Jeera seeds, salt to taste and oil. Mix well and keep aside.
- 2
In a Steamer, add 1 liter of water. Heat it for 5 minutes for steam formation. Use the steamer idly plate attachment to put the daal mix like small pakoras onto the plate. You can also grease the plate with little bit of oil for easy removal of bafauri after cooking. Cover the steamer and steam cook for 30 minutes.
- 3
After 30 minutes, the Bafauris will be fully cooked. Serve with Chutney or desi ghee. Tastes delicious.
