Ingredients

  1. 4 tbspmoong Dal (soaked 2 hours)
  2. 2 tbsprice (soaked 2 hours)
  3. 1.5 litrefull fat milk
  4. 50 gmmawa (Khoya)
  5. To tasteSugar as per taste, usually we use almost in rich quantity
  6. 1/2 tspcardamon powder
  7. 1 tbspkishmish
  8. 12-15almond
  9. 1 pinchSaffron

Cooking Instructions

    Transfer Dal Chawal into a cooker, add water and cover the lid, switch the flame in high and wait for 1 whistle. After 1 whistle switch the flame to low and cook for 5 mins.

    After 5 mins wait the pressure to cool down naturally.. After opening the lid, mash it or blend it and make a coarse paste by gradually adding milk.

    Boil milk on a low flame till it becomes thick.Add prepared mixture of dal and chawal gradually and mix it thoroughly on low flame. Add saffron.Switch the flame to medium and cook for 10 mins.Stir it after every 1-2 min

    Reduce it almost half of it's quantity.Add khoya and sugar, add dry fruits as well and cook it for 10 mins. Add Elaichi powder..the flame should be low to medium and we have tp stir it continuously.After 5 mins of adding elaichi powder switch off the flame.

    Let it cool a bit and keep it into refrigerator for 1 -2 hours.

    After 2 hours you can enjoy the Makuti.

    Serve it chilled
