Melt-in-Your-Mouth Yellow Sweet Potato Talam (No Steaming Required)

Yellow sweet potatoes are very beneficial for the body, particularly due to their beta-carotene content, which acts as an antioxidant and helps prevent cancer. They are also rich in vitamins and are a type of carbohydrate with very few calories and a low glycemic index, making them great for daily consumption at home.

As usual, when I receive a challenge inbox from Cookpad Mama, I often just read and move on because I sometimes don't have time to make it.
However, this time the theme #TemanBerjuang touched my heart to participate in memory of my sister who fought breast cancer but passed away 2 years ago. May all her good deeds be accepted by Allah SWT, and may her four children grow up to be strong like their mother. Aamiin 😭
To friends who are fighting... May you always be given strength, patience, and remain enthusiastic to make the days ahead better for your family and those around you.
For this theme, I tried making melt-in-your-mouth yellow sweet potato talam without having to steam it first, so you can cook healthy snacks for the family at home over the weekend without hassle. Hopefully, you can try it at home too 🙂

Chunky Sweet Potato Dumplings Chunky Sweet Potato Dumplings
I thought that this particular type of dumplimgs were available nationwide, but a friend from another region didn't know about them, so I made them for her and wrote down the recipe while I was at it too.Storebought dumplings tend to be heavy with a lot of dough, and are often very sweet, so I reduced the dough, increased the potatoes and cut down on the sweetness.By sprinkling the sweet potato with sugar to bring out their moisture, the potatoes will become soft and flaky!Apparently "ogre dumplings (oni-manjuu)" were so named because of their rough texture, which reminded people of the bumpy sticks that oni (ogres from Japanese folklore) carried. Serve them in a hearty pile to enhance their rough bumpy appearance.Don't leave the sweet potatoes in the sugar in step 1 for too long, or the potatoes will lose their flavor. For 6 large + 3 small dumplings. Recipe by noeruchi cookpad.japan -

Round Sweet Potato & Jam Sandwiches Round Sweet Potato & Jam Sandwiches
I think I want to try making more healthy, easy, and tasty snacks that use delicious Hokkaido potatoes. For Step 1, the easiest way to cook the potatoes is with a 600 W microwave for 3.5 minutes. Because the sweet potato that I used is probably different than what you are using, the moisture content will vary. There is a chance that the batter will become very soft, and in Step 3 the dough may be sticky and difficult to remove from the pan, so I would recommend adding 1 tablespoon of cake flour. This is an arrangement of a recipe I made before called "Sweet Potatoes with a Lekue Steamer." In this version I increased the amount of butter.
