Overnight French Toast

#mycookbook We were given this at our Wedding shower, by my wife's aunt. We first made it for our first Christmas and it was amazing. We thought that it may be soggy, but it was perfect.
Enjoy!

Overnight French toast bake Overnight French toast bake
French toast is so time consuming for me because I have to make so much of it. This way was a breeze and Iam happy that I have 2 13x9 baking dishes so I can double this up , I found that one dish wasn’t enough , one dish would feed 3 people with no Second helpings . I started this at 10:30pm it took like maybe 10 mins if that , and popped that in the oven around 9am half asleep Waiting for the coffee to kick in 😴 set some timers and bam breakfast is done. Set it and forget it my kinda cooking lol . I did find that I thought it was to sweet for my liking with the brown sugar and butter on the bottom, that can be cut down to less as long as the bottom of the dish is covered, however my kids loved it and was licking 👅 the plate asking for more, then wishing I should have doubled it and made two . This is a game changer for them busy mornings or holiday mornings ,and if your like me lazy mornings and you hear when’s breakfast 100 times before you even get to the coffee pot .lol 🌈NinjaMommaKitchen🌈 -

Warm, crispy toast with a cinnamon-sugar topping and some Quebec maple syrup. Whipped cream, fresh fruit, or fruit preserves are excellent additions to this sweet breakfast. Adjust the level of sugar to your liking. You can also make it savoury by omitting the sweet stuff and going with herbs! Try rosemary and paprika, and grease the pan with olive oil instead of butter. Italian seasoning works too.Kit

Orange French Toast Orange French Toast
I used to buy ready-made orange toast, but I don't see it on sale anymore so I tried making it myself. If you prefer the toast to be soft, add 1 to 2 tablespoons of milk to the orange juice that you soak the bread in. If you like the toast to be crispy, don't add milk to the orange juice and use a baguette instead of sliced bread. Recipe by Kajesan cookpad.japan -

It's really good if you use bread that has gone a little stale. Kids will gobble this up if you make it for their breakfast.Keep an eye on the toast at all times so as not to let it burn. At medium heat, cook the french toast while flipping frequently. Recipe by Nacchi sencho cookpad.japan
