Preheat your oven to 200 degrees Celsius.grease your baking pan and line it with parchment paper to fit

Separate your egg whites and egg yolks

Whisk the egg white till soft peaks form

Whisk in the egg yolks till incorporated and add the sugar

Add vanilla essence

Sieve in the flour and baking powder and fold in

Pour on the tray and level the batter out making sure it reaches the end

Bake for 8 minutes or until well browned.while the Swiss roll is baking cut out a piece of parchment to put it on sprinkle some icing sugar so that it doesn't stick.also make a dish cloth damp and not wet

When the Swiss roll is out of the oven immediately turn it over the dusted parchment and peel off its parchment

Roll the Swiss roll with the new parchment and wrap the towel on top

Set it aside for 30 minutes.then unwrap and apply jam

Wrap it again and serve after 15 minutes.for the decoration put a knife and fork on top and dust with icing sugar.remove the cutlery and serve
