Very special recipe for special Diwali
Steps
- 1
Heat the sugar in a pan. Add water and stir well till the sugar dissolve in water. Switch off the gas. Let it cool down.
- 2
Now add cardamom powder and fine rava to the sugar syrup. Mix well. Add 2 cup wheat flour. Keep 1/4 cup wheat flour aside.
- 3
Heat the ghee in a pan on low medium flame. Add it to wheat flour. Mix all ingredients together.
- 4
Now add remaining wheat flour little by little as required and make a dough.
- 5
Apply little water over it. Cover and keep aside for thirty minutes.

- 7
Take a ball and roll it thicker than roti. As we added hot ghee to the dough, it obviously break from edges.

Remove it to another plate. Roll ramaining balls and make shankarpali.
- 10
Heat the oil on a pan on low flame flame.
- 11
Once oil is hot. Add few shankarpali at a time. Fry till it becomes golden brown from both sides.
