Ingredients

  1. 300 grprawn, split the back and take out the dirt, keep the head and the skin
  2. 1 Tbspfresh lime juice
  3. 1 tspsalt
  4. 6 stalksgreen onions, thinly sliced
  5. 1/2red chili pepper, thinly sliced diagonally
  6. 2 Tbspsesame oil
  7. For the sauce:
  8. 6 clovesgarlic, minced
  9. 1 inchginger, minced
  10. 1 Tbspseafood soy sauce
  11. 1 tspChinese cooking wine
  12. to tastewhite pepper powder

Steps

  1. 1

    Mix the prawn with salt and lime juice. Set aside for 15 minutes.

  2. 2

    In a small bowl, mix the sauce ingredients together.

  3. 3

    Arrange prawn on a heat resistant plate.

  4. 4

    Pour sauce ingredients on top of the prawn.

  5. 5

    Steam prawn for 8 minutes only in a big preheated pot. Remove from the heat. (Please DO NOT steam the prawn too long. It will make them chewy and not sweet anymore)

  6. 6

    Place sliced green onions and sliced red chili pepper evenly on the prawn.

  7. 7

    Heat sesame oil in a small pan until very hot. Pour sesame oil on the prawn evenly.

  8. 8

    Serve over warm plain porridge or rice. Yum! 😋.
