Ingredients

  • 1 cupfine rice (about 200 grams)
  • 1 1/2 cupssugar (about 300 grams)
  • 1 tablespoonground cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoonground caraway
  • 1 teaspoonground anise
  • 6 cupswater (about 1.4 liters)
  • 2 cupsbrewed anise tea (about 480 ml)
  • For garnish:
  • Raw mixed nuts and seeds
  • Shredded coconut

Steps

    Mix the sugar, rice, and spices in a pot.

  2. 2

    Add the water, then the brewed anise tea. Cook over heat, stirring constantly, until the mixture thickens.

    Pour the meghli into cups and refrigerate until set. Before serving, garnish with soaked nuts and shredded coconut. Enjoy!
