Bolognese With Polenta
A dish that's really easy to make midweek when cooking just isn't a priority.
Steps
- 1
Make your preferred bolognese sauce. I used my own recipe the link is below. I added mushrooms and wine to the sauce to alter the flavour. It can also be made ahead of time and frozen. https://cookpad.wasmer.app/uk/recipes/349350-spaghetti-bolognese?token=WTitVJ6uc4xaXYHkCwGH3Kte

You can make your own polenta but it's so much easier just to buy ready made polenta. One pack of 500g will be enough for 2-3 people.
- 3
Preheat the oven to 180c.
- 4
Cut the polenta into slices and about half a centimetre each slice.
- 5
Lay the slices in an ovenproof dish, overlap if necessary.
- 6
Pour the Bolognese sauce over the top of the slices and transfer to the oven and bake for 35-45 minutes.
- 7
Allow to rest for 10 minutes.
- 8
Sprinkle with parmasan cheese for serving and serve with a salad.
