Broccoli, Gruyere & Parma ham quiche

Another recipe from the cookbook I recieved for Christmas. Quiches are great for lunches, tasty and healthy. They're also great hot or cold and have umpteen variations. Safe to say I'll probably bake a few different quiches with different variations but here is the first one I've cooked and it contains the bare bones. In future adaptations, it could maybe be a good idea to throw in some chicken or mushrooms, whatever takes your fancy. The recipe includes sage leaves but I didn't have any (couldnt find any in Tesco and got fed up but that's neither here nor there) so I just chucked in some Kale instead. I had some leftover from my cauliflower cheese and sure why not, it's very healthy.

Lay out puff pastry. It's ok to have an overhang in pastry.

Scatter the broccoli and red onion over the pastry

Whisk the creme fraiche, eggs and grated cheese together with the salt and pepper. Pour over the veg
- 4
Scatter the sage leaves and lay the parma ham over the top

Bake in oven until golden, crispy brown

Let quiche cool down before serving and voila! Can be served hot or cold 😊
