Wash and soak millet and dal for one hour. Take the traditional pot boil atleast 5 cups of water add the soaked millet and dal. Keep cooking in low flame.when it is almost cooked add jaggery. Keep adding the ghee in between. Finally add cardamom powder and roasted cashew. Yummy. On the PONGAL DAY making in the traditional pot is mandatory.
