Blend together green gram sprouts, ginger, cumin seeds, peppercorns, coriander leaves, salt and asafoetida with sufficient water to a smooth batter.

Now add Grated carrot in moong batter and mix it well.

Heat a non-stick appam pan. Pour a laddleful of batter on it. Drizzle some ghee and top with some coriander leaves.

Cover and cook till the underside turns golden brown.

Finally ur moong apam is ready. Serve hot tomato ketchup and green chutney.
