Chop potatoes in small chunks in order for them to get cooked as fast as the spring onions. Clean spring onions and chop the. Chop the tomatoes. Slit green chillies along.Heat a pan with oil. Crackle jeera, add asafoetida.

Add turmeric powder and green chillies. Then add potatoes, salt and fry a bit. Add spring onions, tomatoes and chilli powder.
