Gajar ka halwa
Steps
- 1
Gate carrots. Take a big pan and add grated carrots to it. On a high flame cook for 10 minutes or until some water evaporates.
- 2
Boil milk in a kettle and add it to the carrots. Add cardmom and let milk absorb their flavour in it. Cook on medium to high flame. Once milk starts to reduce then stir often. Make sure the carrots don't stick to the bottom of the pan.
- 3
Add sugar at this point and let it cook for 10-15 minutes on medium flame. Don't let the halwa stick to the pan, so keep stirring.
- 4
Once the water content of carrots evaporates completely then add mawa to the carrots and mix well. Keep stirring until the halwa leaves the sides of the pan. Add chopped dryfruits and mix. Serve it hot or enjoy on room temperature.
