Mix all the ingredients of dosa batter, add water little at time and mix, so that no lumps form. Now add extra water to bake batter of running consistency and keep aside for at least 1/2 hour.

Chop onion and green chillies for dosa and keep aside.

Now heat tava, put 1 tablespoon chopped onion and chopped few green chillies pieces, roast few seconds. Now add 1 ladle dosa batter on very hot tava. Allow water of batter to evaporate on high heat, when start browning on sides add oil and keep it at slow flame till it golden brown.

When golden brown, flip it and cook for some time on other side too and serve hot with coconut chutney.
