Steps
- 1
In a large bowl, add the meat, onions, tomatoes, peppers, spices and 1 tbs salt. Mix all the ingredients together. Transfer to a colander, place a bowl underneath to get rid of any excess water, then place in the fridge until ready to use
- 2
Next to prepare the dough, add flour and oil in a mixer. Dissolve the yeast with water and sugar, then add to the flour and knead
- 3
Add salt and continue kneading until you get a soft dough
- 4
Put the dough in a bowl and cover. Allow the dough to rest for approximately 1 hour or until it has doubled in size
- 5
Spread the dough into a 1/2 cm thickness. Cut small circles, using a dough cutter or any round shape
- 6
Each circle is stuffed with an appropriate amount of meat stuffing and formed according to desire
- 7
Place the stuffed dough onto a greased oven baking tray, leave space in between the dough so as they don’t stick together while baking
- 8
Leave the stuffed dough to rest for 10 minutes before baking
- 9
Bake stuffed dough in the oven at 180°c for 18-20 minutes or until cooked and golden
- 10
Serve as desired next to yougurt and salad.
