#pakistankameetha. The name zarda comes from Persian wors (zard) meaning yellow , hence named since the food colouring added to the rice gives it a yellow colour. Zarda is typically served after a meal . In the Indian subcontinent zarda was and still remain a popular dessert on special occasion such as wedding ,same as popular in Pakistan.
