Grind onion and tomatoes and keep it aside then make coconut paste. Soak tamarind

In heavy bottom pan oil sliced onion and curry leaves saute till onions get soft then add onions tomatoes paste add ginger garlic paste(optional) saute well and let it cook without adding water till raw smell disappear. Once u see the gravy has thickened add turmeric powder,chilli powder, salt, little dhaniya powder mix well now take pulp of soaked tamarind mix well let it cook for 3 mins then add half glass of water

And keep it closed for 25 mins on low flame after 25 mins check the salt and consistency and switch off the flame and garnish it with coriander leaves and serve with rice, ghee rice or even jeera rice
