Steps

Put sugar and butter in a bowl and beat till light and fluffy

Add the eggs one by one and ensure everything is well incorporated

Add vanilla essence and mix

Sieve the dry ingredients together in a bowl and add 1/3 at a time into the wet ingredients mixture. Use the fold in method

After everything is well mixed and smooth, put your batter in a greased baking tin and bake in a preheated oven at 180° for 40 minutes or until a toothpick comes out of the cake clean. Remove from the oven and let it cool completely before frosting. Enjoy!
