First cook the basmati rice and mix all the lentils in the cooker and boil.

Now add oil + ghee in a pan. Add cumin to it. Then add the onions. Allow to cook for 5 minutes. Now add the tomatoes and sauté the till oil comes out. Add chilli, salt, turmeric, garam masala. Allow to cook for 2-3 minutes. Now add lentils and rice and mix well.

Now take it in a serving bowl and serve it with lemon and papad.
