This is a easy, quick method to prepare veg biryani without the need to boil the rice first. In this method, we will be directly cooking the rice in the pan along with the vegetables and spices.

This is a easy, quick method to prepare veg biryani without the need to boil the rice first. In this method, we will be directly cooking the rice in the pan along with the vegetables and spices.
Steps

Thoroughly wash the rice and set aside. Chop all the vegetables and set aside.

Prepare tadka - heat oil in a big pan and add mustard after sometime. Once the mustard crackles, add all the tadka materials and saute for 10 seconds. Then, add green chillies

Add potato and saute for 2 minutes. Next, add onions and saute for 2 minutes. Next, reduce the flame to low and cover the pan to cook the vegetables for 3 minutes (add a tablespoon of water if needed)

Add rest of the veggies (tomato, peas, carrot, beans, corn, gobi etc). Add garam masala and mix well on heat for 1 minute

Add the washed unboiled rice, salt and water and mix well. Cover the pan and let it cook for 15 minutes on medium flame.
