Ingredients

5 servings
  • (Kofta)~
  • 1/2 kgMince (beef/mutton)
  • 1 tblsgarlic paste
  • 1 tblsGinger paste
  • 1 tblsgreen chilli paste
  • 1/2 tblscumin powder
  • 1/2 tblsblack pepper powder
  • 1/2 tblsSalt
  • 3 tblsgram flour (roasted)
  • Oil for fry
  • (Kofta Gravy)~
  • 1/2 cupoil
  • 1 tblsginger garlic paste
  • 4medium tomatoes chopped
  • 2medium onions (paste)
  • 1 tblsCoriander powder
  • 1/2 tblsred chilli powder
  • 1 tspred crushed chilli
  • 1/2 tblsSalt
  • 1 tblslemon juice
  • 3chilli Julien
  • 1 tblsginger Julien
  • Prepared fried Koftas
  • Lemon (optional)
  • Coal (for smoke)

Steps

    To make Kofta: In mince add ginger garlic paste, green chillies paste, salt, Black pepper, cumin powder and roasted gram flour.

    Mix all well and make round koftas, I prepared 10 koftas from half kg Mince.

  3. 3

    On medium be flame shallow fry the koftas in Wok. Till brown from both sides. Fry all koftas and keep aside.

  4. 4

    Now prepare the gravy ~ In Wok add oil and ginger garlic paste light brown it then add the onion paste.

  5. 5

    When the onions turn in slightly brown colour add tomatoes, cover the wok and let the tomatoes cook for five minutes.

  6. 6

    After five minutes add The masala (red chilli powder, coriander powder, salt and crushed chilli) mix well and cover to cook 2 to 3 minutes.

  7. 7

    Add prepared fried koftas in gravy when oil is comes out. On medium high flame. Cook the Karahi well.

    At last add green chillies, ginger and lemon juice.

    Smoke the Kofta Karahi with coal for 5 minutes. Garnish with lemon.

    Tasty Kofta Koila Karahi is ready to serve. Serve with garama garam naan or roti.
