Steps

Mix all dry ingredients in a large bowl add in the egg and butter and mix well using your two palms until you achieve a crumb like texture.

Add the one cup of warm water a little at a time until your dough is fully combined it might not be smooth at this stage and that is normal

Knead the dough well for at least 20 minutes (you can continuously add the ¼ cup of water in the process if kneading). Until smooth, elastic and stretchy.

Divide into 12 pieces and mould in to perfect circles. Then allow then to puff for 20 minutes.

Deep fry in oil over low heat for 5 minutes on each side. Then take off heat and strain off excess oil.

You can roll them in cinnamon sugar. Or fill them with your favourite filling.
