In a bowl, combine the sugar and eggs. Beat well.

Add the remaining ingredients except for the flour, and beat again until well mixed.

Finally, add the flour and beat until the batter is smooth and free of lumps.

Place paper liners in a muffin tin and fill each one halfway with batter.

Bake at 350°F (180°C) for 20 to 30 minutes (20 minutes in an electric oven, 30 to 35 minutes in a conventional oven). Check for doneness by inserting a knife; it should come out clean.
