Ingredients

  • 1/3 cupapple vinegar
  • 1/4 cupsoy sauce
  • to tasteSalt and pepper
  • 3 tablespoonshoney
  • 2 tablespoonsbrown sugar
  • 1 tablespoonsfresh ginger
  • 1 tablespoonsgarlic
  • 1/4 cupchicken stock(optional)
  • Spring onions for garnishing
  • Chicken thighs or any cut of your choice
  • 2 tablespoonspure sesame seed oil or neutral tasting oil

Steps

  1. 1

    Wash and pat fry the chicken

  2. 2

    In a bowl whisk all the rest of the ingredients and add it to a pot boil the mixture till it slightly thickens then take it off heat and allow it to cool

  3. 3

    In a oven proof pan or skillet add the thighs and half of the sauce brush the soy mixture all over the chicken making sure it’s well coated

  4. 4

    Bane the chicken till it’s well cooked then broil till the skin is golden brown

  5. 5

    Serve the chicken with steamed rice vegetables of choice and remaining sauce
