Ingredients

6 servings
  1. 1/2 kgBoneless Chicken
  2. 1 tspCurd
  3. 1/4Turmeric Powder
  4. 1/4Kashmiri Chilli Powder
  5. 3 tspGaram Masala
  6. 2Onions
  7. 1 BunchCoriander
  8. 1/2 BunchMint
  9. HandfulCurry Leaves
  10. 5-6Green Chillies (as per your preference)
  11. Coconut Oil
  12. Salt
  13. Dry Coconut
  14. Ginger and Garlic Paste
  15. HandfulCashew
  16. 1/2Tomato or 2 tsp Tomato Puree

Steps

  1. 1

    Grind the paste of 3/4 bunch of coriander, mint and handful of curry leaves, add 1 tsp of curd and 5-6 green chillies.

  2. 2

    Heat 3 tsp of coconut oil add chopped onion (fry till translucent). Add half tomato or 2 tsp tomato puree, dry coconut, ginger garlic paste and cashew. Add 1 tsp of gram masala and saute till it leaves oil. Add this mixture to the green paste and grind well.

  3. 3

    Add 2 tsp of coconut oil and handful of curry leaves. Add the above paste once the curry leaves are fried well. Add turmeric and Kashmiri chilli powder and 1 tsp of garam masala. Mix well and cover with lid for 5 mins.

  4. 4

    Add chicken pieces and salt mix well and cook it for 10-12 min with closed lid.

  5. 5

    Add water if requires. Add butter and cook for 10 mins. Garnish with chopped coriander, butter/cream.

  6. 6

    Serve with Roti/Chapati/Paratha/Rice and Onion Salad along with lemon.
