Ingredients

  1. 400 gchickpeas - soaked
  2. 1onions
  3. 3 clovesgarlic
  4. 1 bunchparsley - chopped
  5. 1 bunchcoriander- chopped
  6. 1 tspbaking soda
  7. 1 tspcumin seeds/ powder
  8. 1/2 tspblack pepper
  9. 1 tspchilli powder- optional
  10. 1 tbspflour
  11. 1 tspsalt
  12. 1lemon - juiced
  13. Cooking oil

Steps

  1. 1

    Gather all your ingredients together

    A picture of step 1 of Falafels.
  2. 2

    Place all ingredients apart from cooking oil into a food processor. Pulse until you get a texture that is slightly rough.

  3. 3

    Put in a bowl, place in a fridge or a cool place for 30 minutes.

  4. 4

    Using a tablespoon or your hands, scoop the mixture and shape into balls or disks.

    Heat cooking oil in a cooking pot.

  6. 6

    Deep fry the falafels until they turn a beautiful brown colour each side.

  7. 7

    Remove from oil and enjoy it cold, warm or hot.
