In a bowl add the flour, salt, cardamom powder, coconut powder whisk and keep aside.In a separate bowl add the yeast,coconut milk,oil and whisk then keep aside for 3 mins to rise.

In the flour bowl make a well then add sugar.Then add the yeast mixture bit by bit until the sugar has finally dissolved then knead until the dough is smooth and well combined.

Let it rise for about 2 hours.After 2 hrs cut the dough into 6 balls.Roll each ball for about 1/4 inch then cut it them halves. Put the halves in a tray and let them rise for 30 mins.

Heat the oil in a medium heat.Deep fry the mandazis until golden brown on both sides. Ready to serve with hot ginger tea
