This is the childhood dessert my mom lovingly made for us.

Wash and pit the cherries.

In a mixing bowl, add the 3 eggs and sugar, then beat them together.

Arrange the cherries in a baking dish or individual ramekins.

Heat the milk in a saucepan and add the vanilla extract.

Slowly pour the hot milk into the egg and sugar mixture, stirring gently.

Pour the mixture over the cherries in the baking dish.

Sprinkle the vanilla sugar on top and bake at 350°F (180°C) for 30 to 45 minutes.

When done, let cool and refrigerate. Take out 2 hours before serving. Enjoy!
