Grilled Ribs: Blanch the ribs in boiling water to clean them. Then simmer the ribs until slightly tender, and remove them from the pot. Reserve the broth for the soup. Mix all the seasonings above and rub them evenly onto the ribs. Let the ribs marinate for 1 hour.

Line a baking tray with aluminum foil, arrange the ribs on top, and thinly slice the garlic to place over the ribs. Drizzle a little cooking oil on top to keep the ribs from drying out while grilling. Place the ribs in an air fryer at 300°F (about 150°C) and cook for 15 minutes.

Tofu Tomato Egg Soup: Use the reserved rib broth to make the soup. Add the ground pork and bring to a boil, skimming off any foam. Cut the tofu into small rounds and slice the tomatoes into wedges, then add both to the boiling broth. Season to taste.

Beat the 2 eggs and slowly pour them into the simmering soup, stirring gently so the eggs form soft ribbons. Once the soup comes back to a boil, turn off the heat and add green onions, cilantro, and black pepper.
