In a pressure cooker heat ghee add bay leaf, cloves and cardamom. Saute for a minute now add cumin seeds and saute again. Now add ginger garlic paste and saute till raw smell goes away.

Put chopped onions in it and saute till onion gets translucent. Put chopped tomatoes and saute till oil oozing from the sides.

Now add chana masala, garam masala and salt. Mix well.

Now add boiled chana in it mix well. Put lemon juice and ½ cup water in it and cover it. Cook it on low flame. Stir well.

When water evaporates add rice and mix well. Saute for a while and add 6 cup of water.

Take a whistle on high flame and turn off the gas. Delicious and healthy kala chana pulao is ready to serve.

Note--Don't throw boiled chana water, use that for pulao
