Ingredients

1 serving
  1. 1.5 cupleftover fermented batter (idli/dosa)
  2. Sauté
  3. 1 tablespoonsesame oil
  4. 1 tspmustard seeds
  5. 1 tspcumin seeds
  6. 1 inchpiece ginger deskinned and grated
  7. Urad dal optional
  8. Chana dal optional
  9. Curry leaves 1 sprig
  10. 1/4 cupCilantro
  11. 2Green chillies chopped
  12. 2 tablespoonsCoconut flakes
  13. 1 tspblack pepper crushed

Cooking Instructions

    Heat oil in a pan and add the ingredients. Roast until golden brown.

    Take a paniyaram pan and coat with sesame oil to make it non- stick..

  3. 3

    Add the sautéd ingredients to the leftover idli/dosa batter. Mix well. Pour into paniyaram pan and fill up 3/4th the pan. Let it heat.

    When the edges start to turn golden; flip the paniyarams and let them con on the other side too for avoid 4 minutes.

    Once done, serve with sambar and/ or chutney.
