This is a delicious, nutritious and easy to prepare snack that sure to please any pallet. There are Mediterranean version of this called Socca, but we prefer the Indian version which is jazzed up with spices. It is ideal for breakfast/evening snack.

This is a family recipe that has been handed down from my great grandfather - an Italian immigrant. I've never seen it any where else, nor do I know what it is called in Italy, but would dearly like to know.It can also have spicy sausage or other deli meats added, and the addition of smoked cheese is also delicious.

I really wanted to eat some chewy steamed bread but when I tried to make it with shiratamako, it just wouldn't mix.I should use it for dango instead, so I tried with bread flour and it went quite well.・Pancake mix is a little sweet, whereas rice flour is not, so it needs a bit more sugar than the recipes that use 100% pancake mix.・These have a really light taste so they go well with jam or something similar.
