In a pot, heat the oil and add the chili peppers, garlic, and ginger. Sauté until fragrant, then add the Sichuan peppercorns, spicy bean paste, chili powder, and soy sauce. Cook for about 2-3 minutes.

Add the broth, stevia or sugar, scallion sections, and salt. Simmer for at least 30 minutes before serving.
