Kotte kadabu is a traditional recipe of coastal Karnataka.Soft and spongy idlis are cooked in kotte which is bowl formed by joing 4 jackfruit leaves with the help of coconut sticks.This is Eco friendly dish.
Steps

Choose the jack fruit leaves that are big and even in size.4leaves for making one cup like structure(kotte)

Bend upwards join with sticks like a cup.cut the excess for meat presentation.

Wash and soak urad dal for about 2hours.

After all the water from urad dal and grind it light and airy batter adding required water.

Soak idli rava in enough water for about 10 mins. Squeeze and add the rava to urad batter. Mix and let it rest for about 8 to 10 hours for fermentation.

After 8 hours add salt and mix well.next carefully pour the idli batter into jackfruit leaf cup prepared earlier. Arrange batter filled cups in a idli steamer and steam cook for about 15 to 20 mins.

Insert a spoon in to cooked idli to check for doneness.If it comes out clean it's done.

Remove all the sticks used to stich the cup and serve idli along with chutney and sambar your choice...
