Ingredients

1 HR 30 minutes
4 servings
  • 200 grmsunsweetened koya, 200 grms sugar, 300 ml water
  • 50grm milk powder, 30 grms plain flour
  • 30 grsemolina
  • 1/2 tspcardemom powder
  • 1/2 tspwhole mace (japarthi)
  • Crushed nuts like almonds and cashew

Steps

1 HR 30 minutes
  1. 1

    Mix all the above ingredients in a bowl without adding any water. You may add one to two tablespoons of water if required.

  2. 2

    Make small cylindric shaped dumplings and stuff with crushed nuts

  3. 3

    Add them in to the piping hot oil and switch off the flame

  4. 4

    Then switch on the and fry the jaamuns on low flame until golden brown colour.

  5. 5

    Add sugar in the water and let it dissolve. Boil until soft string forms and add jaamuns in to the syrup let it sit for 4 to 5 hours

  6. 6

    Serve hot and may also preserve for 4 to 5 days
