Ingredients

  • For Momos
  • 200 Gmrefined flour
  • 2 tbssooji
  • 1 tbsoil
  • as per tasteSalt
  • As neededWater
  • For stuffing
  • 150 gmboiled potato
  • 1 tbsgreen chilies and ginger paste
  • 1small chopped onion
  • 1 tbslemon juice
  • 1/2 tbssugar
  • 1 tbsgaram masala
  • per tasteSalt
  • Handfulchopped coriander
  • Gravy
  • 70 gmchanadal
  • 1 cuptomatoes puree
  • 1 tbsoil
  • Pinchjeera
  • as required Curry leaves
  • 1 tea spoonred chili powder
  • 1/2 tea spoonturmeric powder
  • 1 tea spoondhanya Jira powder
  • 1 tea spoonsugar
  • as required Chopped coriander
  • Dressing
  • as required Yoghurt with 1 pinch of pudina powder+salt
  • As required Sev
  • As required Mixed salad of chopped tomatoes+capsicum+onion
  • As required Tamarind chutney
  • as requiredChopped coriander leaves

Steps

    Make the tight dough by mixing all ingredients to make outer layer of momos... keep it for rest for 10 minutes

  2. 2

    For stuffing heat 2 tbs oil in pan then add ginger chilli paste and add chopped onion.... after roasting for a minute add smashed boil potatoes and all the rest ingredients... after cooking it for 2-3 minutes... keep it aside to cool it at a room temperature.

    Now for gravy,boil chnna Dal till 3-4 whistle and heat oil in pan....add Jira and let it crackle....then add curry leaves and tomato puree.... when the oil separate from the mixture add boiled Dal and all dry masala...and cook it for 8-10 minutes...and the gravy is ready.

    Now the time is for making momos....roll the round small Puri and add stuffing in it and make shape of potli or as per your wish....now fry it until the golden brown colour...

    At serving time.... first put the momos on the plate then put 2-3 tbs of pudina yoghurt....now pour gravy on it...then add some tamrind chutney, salad,sev and garnish it with chopped coriander leaves.... you can serve it as brunch or dinner... the momos can be made in advance also... thank you..
