Ingredients

  1. Prawns-500gms
  2. 2-3 TbspLime juice
  3. 1/2 cupCurd
  4. Ginger -1Tbsp chopped
  5. Garlic- 1 Tbsp chopped
  6. 1 TbspTandoori paste
  7. 1/2 tspturmeric powder
  8. 1 tspsalt
  9. Coriander pwd-1tsp
  10. Cumin pwd-1tsp
  11. Red chilli pwd-1tsp
  12. Garam masala-1tsp
  13. For Gravy:
  14. Tomatoes-2 medium
  15. Onion-2 medium
  16. Ginger-2Tbsp
  17. Garlic-2Tbsp
  18. Green Chilli-2 nos
  19. 1/2 cupMethi leaves
  20. 1/2 tspturmeric powder
  21. 1 tspsalt
  22. Coriander pwd-1tsp
  23. Red Chilli pwd-1tsp
  24. Garam masala pwd-1tsp

Cooking Instructions

    For marination-
    First take grated ginger & garlic paste, tandoori Masala, curd,lime juice.

    Add all spices. Add the prawns and stir to coat. Cover & refrigerate for 3- 4 hrs.

    Heat 1 Tbsp butter in a thick pan. Add marinated prawns. Cook for few mins until light golden. Cover it with lid & let it cook for 2-3 mins. Remove from pan.

    For the Gravy-
    Heat 1 Tbsp butter add chopped ginger & garlic. Cook for 1 min. Add onion & cook till onion become translucent.

    Add green chilli & tomatoes. Cook on low flame for 3-5 mins.

    Add all the spices & stir continuously. Add methi & cook for 4-5 mins. Pour the left over marination mixture in gravy.

    Add 1 cup water. Now add the prawns in the gravy. Cover the lid & cook for 10-12 mins.

    Methi prawns is ready. Garnish with coriander leaves.
