I remember this dish from a time long ago when I was a child. It brings back good memories of all the family gathering together around the table.

Ingredients

15 mins
4 servings
  1. 1 kguncooked prawns, if frozen defrost thoroughly
  2. Outer skin only of 3-4 large onions
  3. water
  4. good amount of sea salt
  5. dried whole chillies or hot sauce

Cooking Instructions

    Add all the ingredients to a sauce pan. Add enough water to cover all the prawns. Add a good amount of salt to the water.

    Bring to the boil and cook for 3-6 minutes or until the prawns have all turned pink in colour. You don't want to over cook them as they will become tough to eat.

    Remove from the boiling pot and let it cool completely. Then serve as you wish and enjoy.
