Steps

Wash and soak dal in about 3 cup of water for 5-6 hours. Drain all the water from udad dal. and make a smooth paste using mixture.

Now Add All the ingredients. into dal. the better should be thick. otherwise will not get proper menduvada shape.

Heat oil in a pan in medium flame. wet your palms. take medium size or lemon size batter. make hole in the center. and slide it into oil.

Fry on both the side till it becomes golden brown. and take it out. serve it with sambhar and coconut chutney.
