Mexican Tomato Salsa

Mexican salsa can be prepared in many ways using different ingredients but tomato salsa is the most popular amongst all. Roasted or grilled tomatoes and capsicum gives it a smoky flavour which tastes delicious. Homemade salsa is very easy to make and it tastes refreshing compared to the store bought jars of salsa.

Steps

30 min
  1. 1

First of all, wash and pat dry tomatoes and capsicum. Now roast them on naked fire. Put a wire on the gas flame and roast tomatoes and capsicum until the skin becomes black.. Take them out in a plate and when it cools down a bit, remove the skin. Do not worry if little bit of skin remains on top that will increase the smoky flavour of the Salsa.

Now chop it into big chunks and put it in a chilli cutter along with green chillies. You can even use manual or electric chopper Or it can be even chopped very finely with a knife on a chopping board.
