Dalchini, lavanga,jeera,black pepper,and coconut all fry in oil then mixed well.

Cook rice and drain it. Prick with fork and let cool. Meanwhile make a paste out of all the grinding.

Heat oil/clarified butter. Add Mustard seeds and let it crackle. Stir in the curry leaves, if using and broken cashews fry until golden.

Put onion and little salt. Cook until transparent. Stir in chopped tomato. Saute for a few minutes and add the ground spices and continue to cook until the initial raw smell goes off.

Add in the chopped vegetable and saute it. sprinkle water if the paste sticks to the bottom of the pan. Lid up and cook until the vegetables are cooked through.

Add salt and sugar taste. Add in the clocked Rice and mix well make sure not to break the rice cover and cook 8 to 10 minutes.
