Boil chole and slice onion, tomatoes roughly.

Keep all masala are ready.

Take a 1tbspn oil in pan add garlic, ginger, onion, tomatoes, coriander leaves (dhania). And saute for about 10 minutes till it soften. Grind this make a smooth paste.

Take 3 tbspn oil in pan. Add cumin, hing, bay leaves and star anise. Now add onion tomatoes paste in it. Saute for some time.

Now add turmeric, red chilli powder, coriander-cumin powder and salt.

Cook until oil separated. add garam masala and chole masala mix it well.

Now add boiled chole in gravy. Add water as per your requirement and cook it. Garnish with coriander leaves. Enjoy with bhature aur jeera rice.
