Take a pan and roast the rava on a low flame till good aroma comes. Keep aside

Heat a Kadai and add ghee to it. When the ghee is hot enough, add mustard seeds. As it splutters add onions, green chillies and curry leaves.

Saute for a minute in medium flame. Add salt required. Now add water and let it boil

When the water starts boiling, reduce the flame. Add the roasted rava slowly, and also keep on stirring in order to avoid in forming lumps.

Keep on stirring till the rava gets absorbed and cooked well. Switch off the heat

The upma is ready to serve and be eaten. Have the upma with papad and banana or eat it as it is..
