Cherry Turnovers

This has like 3 ingredients. So easy and they’re sick good. Cherry pie or turnovers are my absolute favorite. Use any filling you want but try not to overfill like I did. I didn’t care. I shoved the cherries that oozed out back in lol

Cooking Instructions
- 1
PREHEAT oven to 400. Line baking tray with parchment. On lightly floured surface, roll out your thawed but cold, puff pastry and cut it into fours. Spoon filling in center leaving plenty of edge. Using your finger and water, wet the edges and fold the dough over the filling and crimp with a fork. Transfer to baking sheet.
- 2
Brush each turnover with cream and sprinkle with sugar. While it bakes, make your frosting with cream and powdered sugar.
- 3
Bake til puffed and golden brown. Allow to cool some before diving in. It’s like lavaaa! I didn’t drizzle, I spread that frosting. No shame!

Cherry Tart Cherry Tart
I thought about a cherry pie, but I went with a tart instead. It was my first attempt at it and I would say it turned out… better than expected. Maybe it’s a personal preference, but I think it’ll taste even better after it comes out of the fridge. Karl -

I've recently started shopping online at thrive market this is where I got the cherry spread there are chunks of cherry in the spread like peach preserves. I have celiac's and a few autoimmune diseases so I'm always looking for a organic glf nf ef df sf sulfate free barely and they free products that taste great. This arrived a week ago and was very excited to make a cherry pastry after I tasted the spread with a spoon, the taste sent me back to my childhood where my grandmother canned her own cherries she had a huge cherry tree in her yardIt's very tart and sweet I used some homemade glaze to cut down the tart a bit and a puff pastry I thought it would be cute. kristielynne40 -

Tart Cherry Torte Tart Cherry Torte
With a nod to Marian Burros' NYT Original Plum Torte, this recipe will accommodate any stone fruit, really. I just happened to have a pound of luscious cherries that demanded to be pitted. When positioning the fruit in the batter, the following guideline works well: for larger fruit like peaches and plums, place in batter, then bake. For smaller fruit like cherries, place 3/4 in batter for baking. Then 20 minutes in, position the remaining cherries. Jim Kennedy
