  • 1 boxYellow cake mix(or yellow cake mix from scratch).
  • 1/2 cupbutter or margarine, melted
  • 1 canCherry pie filling (21oz)
  • cupvanilla ice cream(optional)

    Heat oven to 350°(325° for dark or nonstick pan).

  2. 2

    In a large bowl, stir together cake mix and butter until crumbly; set aside.

  3. 3

    Spread pie filling in ungreased 13×9 inch pan. Sprinkle cake mix mixture evenly over pie filling.

  4. 4

    Bake 35-45 minutes or until deep golden brown. Let cool 15-30 minutes. Serve warm or cool...is great with vanilla ice cream.
