Majjige Saru is south Indian traditional recipe with mom's special twist of adding some masala to it.
Buttermilk has lots of protein and good carbs and good bacteria such as lactic acid bacteria which helps in improving one's immunity.

Majjige Saru is south Indian traditional recipe with mom's special twist of adding some masala to it.

Steps

Add garlic,Jeera,soaked chana dal, coconut and little amount of water to the mixer jar. Grind coarsely.

Add coriander leaves to the mixer jar and make it a smooth paste

Transfer the grinded masala to the buttermilk in a utensil where you can stir it well and boil. Add water and adjust the consistency at this stage. Add salt according to taste. Stir continuously and boil it well for about 5-10 minutes in medium flame.

Once it's boiled well add tampering with oil, crushed garlic, mustard and curry leaves. Serve hot with white rice/Ragi balls with any fryums.
