Colocasia Curry

Boil colacasia & potato pieces by adding water, salt and turmeric powder, till 4 to 5 whistles. Now take a kadai & dry roast elaichi, cinnamon, onion slices, coconut pieces, ginger & garlic pods, green chilli & dried red chilli. Dry roast them till it turns slightly golden in colour.

Now grind them into a thick paste by adding little water to it. Now heat a kadai and add some oil to it. When the oil gets hot add some jeera in it. Let them splutter, now add tomato puree to it. Then add the grounded masalas at the same time.

Now add turmeric powder, kashmiri red chilli powder, salt, cumin-coriander powder, sugar & garam masala powder. Give everything a good mix. Now cook the masalas on a low flame until oil starts releasing.. Now add boiled colacasia and potatoes to the masalas.

Cover the kadai and cook it on a low flame for about 12 mins. After some time add chopped coriander leaves and serve hot with steamed rice..
