Steps

Soak chick peas over night with 1 pinch of baking soda.

Next morning drain that water and boil them with salt and plain water till they become soft.

Strain chick peas and reserve that water in separate container

Soak rice for 1/2 hr

Sliced onions and sautay in heated oil. Add black pepper, cumin seeds, cinammon, cloves. Fry onions till golden brown than add ginger garlic paste and sautay

Add red chilli flakes and mix for few seconds to avoid burning

Add chopped tomatoes and mix well. Cover the lid and let tomatoes soften

Add chick peas and mix with masala. Till oil seperated

Add chick peas water and plain water that is required to boil the rice add salt as needed

When boil comes add rice and cook till they done

Mix and dish out. Decorate with fried onions and serve
