Take Chana dal and blend it in a blender. Make a very fine powder. Sieve it.

In a thick bottom vessel, put sugar and add half a glass of water and mix it well. Then boil it on a medium flame and make a syrup.

It should be thicker than the syrup which we make for gulab Jamon.Then slowly add the Chana dal powder in the sugar syrup. Keep on stirring it. Then keep on adding hot melted ghee little at time. Then after 15 minutes the batter gets thick and a fine aroma comes out of it. This should be cooked on medium flame or high flame.

Grease a plate with ghee and pour the mysore pak mixture into it. Once it cools down, cut into pieces.

For one portion of chana dal powder use two portions of ghee and sugar.
